i have a question. i just found out via xray of my neck that i have compressed vertebrae. looks like it starts at either c3 or c4 down to c6 or c7. i also have a rotated atlas (c1) and i am losing the normal curve in my neck. with the compressed vertebrae does that mean at one point in time i had a fracture there? im trying to look up info on it and all it talks about is fractures of the vertebrae thats why i asked.
I am not a medical professional but I do not think u have to have had a fracture to have a compression....the space btwn the disks is a soft cushion to act as a shock absorber...but these areas can dry out, and allow the disks to compress...
There r not always an answer as to what causes this to happen...
