Experiencing weakness of muscles

Recently, I have been experiencing weakness of muscles on one side of the face and drooping eyelid or mouth on one side. One of my friend said that these were the common signs of Bell’s palsy and suggested me to take physiotherapic treatment from any nearby clinic like the AESM in Toronto. Are there any suggestions for specific exercises to get a less blocking, relaxed muscle? How long does it take to recover from Bell’s palsy? I would like to hear from any experienced ones.
