Protein

I am a 53 year old woman. I have been learning how to lift weights for the last year and a half. I have a trainer and I go to the gym 2 days a week by myself and two days with the trainer. I lift weights all four days but not big weights about a maximum of 100 lbs via leg press or pulling a sled etc.  He says to eat 95 grams of protein a day. I am 5'7" and weight 127 lbs. I keep hydrated. I am vegan and use a vegan protein powder to supplement 20 grams extra a day. So my total protein is about 75-80 grams (not 95g). I read that you can get too much growth hormone (which is good for building muscle) but it creates insulin like growth factor (ILGF). Too much ILGF can potentially cause cancer. So that is what I am asking. What has anyone read about this.
thanks,

That is interesting. I do have several articles that say conflicting things about the growth factor causing too much ILGF etc. That is  a good idea about balancing out the acid. But lemon juice is acidic and vinegar is too but you can't really change the body's Ph by what you eat unless you are seriously ill. You are right that your system is always in Ph balance. But some things can keep pushing it out of balance.

I worry though about the overload on the kidneys?
