God and the wind

Explaining God to a seven year old isn't easy. Especially since God can be as hard to explain as the universe. Many study the universe giving complicated scientific hypothesise for its mysteries. But, can a bird understand the complexities of aerodynamics? Some theologians get so caught up in their own 'take' of the Bible that they never see the real truth. So what do I say when she asks who God is; where is He; is He a man? First, I know that He is not a man. The Creator is greater than His creation. Who is He? "I am that I am," was Gods' answer. Where is He?He's not really up; my reasoning being that He would be down in another hemisphere. So, how do I answer?...After getting very little time to think (seven year olds don't give you much time), I told her God was everywhere, always; that He was not a man but a Spirit and we can't see Him; that God is the Creator of life and all things we see, hear, feel, touch, and smell...I felt pretty good about my answer until I saw the puzzled look on her face. Then I thought about how she liked the wind to blow through her hair. You can't see the wind but, you can feel it. Because you can feel it, you know that it's there. I then talked to her about the wind...and God.
