PTSD and Hypertension

Good day,

I have been hypertensive for almost four years now.   Taking 5mg of Inhibace every day.

The hypertension began shortly after a Helicopter crash.

I am just wondering if anyone knows of actual medical proof , documents, links.....anything that can prove that Hypertension can be caused by PTSD.

Secondly, I need to go see a specialist, I am just not sure what kind of doctors take care of hypertension.

Thanks

Steve

To your first question I would say "yes".  Any kind of emotional stress can cause high BP including Post Traumatic Stress.

To your second question see a "Hypertension Specialist".  I did, and can only recommend it.
