Are you stressed about anything?

If you wake up every morning feeling groggy, headaches, pain, or moody it could be from any number of things.

Stress definitely can be up there. Stress is known to be a big pain on your health and can cause lots of annoying symptoms. If you think you might be stressed, try to find some way to relax in the evening. A long bath, meditation, a walk, etc. whatever helps you feel relaxed.

Caffeine is known to effect your sleep cycles. If you're an avid coffee drinker you might want to consider cutting back. Caffeine can make your body skip over a deep sleep cycle which is needed to help you feel rested in the morning.

If you bed or pillow stinks that could be a cause. It's hard to get good sleep if your neck and back aren't supported and comfortable.

Exercise might also play a factor. Have you ever tired working out in the mornings? Exercise can really have a huge impact on how you're feeling so maybe it's worth it to see if putting it in the mornings helps start your day.

Food of course is important too- you said your dedicated to being healthy, but that can mean different things for different people. Make sure you're getting a full balanced breakfast. I found that just a bowl of oatmeal and blueberries left me still feeling sluggish until lunch. But after adding a little bit of almond meal, it made all the difference. You do need some amounts of fat, protein and carb in each meal so make sure you're not skipping out on breakfast by cutting out all of one or the other.

There are medical causes too- such as sleep disorders like sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome. Now big myth busted- you don't have to be overweight or unhealthy to have these problems. Sleep apnea usually (at least with my mom and uncle) come with airplane snoring true, but even if you don't snore much it's possible to have it. If you wake up feeling foggy brained, sluggish or have migranes (migraines) in the morning that could be a sign of sleep apnea and you should talk to your dr about it. Have you ever felt your leg muscles sore or stiff? That could be a sign of restless leg syndrome. I know listening to it, it doesn't sound like it would influence your sleep that much -but it does. My husband has it and in the morning after a bad night I don't feel my best. That constant jolting is enough to cause sleep issues.

If this has been an ongoing constant problem I suggest you talk to your dr. They will help you rule out causes and narrow down what could be the source.

IF I were you, I'd see my general physician and address the issue there.  As mentioned above, any number of things can cause the issue.  A sleep study may be prescribed....

Address this with a doctor.
