Able to pinch off vertebral artery on left side and right side doesn't work anym

by Sarah30, Feb 01, 2006 12:00AM
Hi in Oct 04 I had a brain stem stroke and created a permenent blockage that destroyed my right vertebral artery. My doctor has concluded that when I turn my head I am pinching of the blood flow involving the left vertebral artery. I am back on blood thinners as he is concerned that it may only be a matter of time before I may have a stroke and is trying to do what ever he can to prevent this. What I am wondering is if there are places to research this problem? All I ever find is bilateral disection information. I understand that I may be an unique case, but would really like to find more information on my paticular type of disection. Thanks
Sarah
