Thank you very much for your response. I should have, however, clarified my symptoms. I do not consider this as numbness or weakness but a tingling sensation like pins and needles that runs along the inside of my arm from shoulder to thumb, sometimes to the point of pain. It also occurs immediately after sitting down with my arm at my side and will generally go away when standing or laying down. My stroke was also caused by blockage in my Carotid Artery if this information helps.

Stroke leads to partial damage of brain due to blockage or break in the artery of brain .The causes of stroke may be atherosclerosis, thrombosis or aneurysm rupture.. Symptoms after stroke mostly include - numbness or weakness of the face, arm, or leg on one side of the body , confusion, trouble speaking, swallowing, seeing , trouble walking, dizziness , headaches .Symptoms of stroke may or may not last for long .
