Brain Stem Stroke

My dad had a Brain stem stroke 3 years ago at the age of 51. After 3 years, he now just has his dizzy spells, so he is still in his wheelchair. He walks around his house, and if there are a few steps into someones house, he will use 2 cans to get up them, but then back into the chair he goes. He walks on a tredmill at home everyday, but he really wants to get back to walking again. Even with a cane, he wouldn't mind! He was actually partially paralized before the stroke from an accident, so he walked with a cane before anyways. Does anyone have any ideas of getting the dizziness to go away?
