Brain Tumour and stroke

My mother in law had a stroke on Saturday morning. Initially the hospital told us she wouldn't survive the enxt 24hrs...

She is semi conscious, she can obey commands and spoke very briefly to my sister in law today, the first time she has spoken since Saturday.

The two bleeds are believed to be from secondary brain tumours related to renal cancer.

Surgery for either the bleed or the tumours is not an option as she is too poorly.

Although the spoke today and obeys commands, she cannot open her eyes and is completely paralysed down the left side.

MRI and 3rd cat scan are being done today.

Has anyone had any experience of brain tumour related strokes?

hi.  Mum's not going to make it.  It's just cruel now!  She's nearly 90, morphed out now so she doesn't suffer.  Some make it some don't.  I hope your mum's ok.  Mum came to for a while, but no good now.

Hi,
She is on a neuro ward with a drip and feeding tube. She is now almost conscious&we have been chatting.
However, tomorrow the drs are looking at performing a craniotomy ...apparently the frontal bleed is huge and they want to see the extent of the tumour they believe is beneath it so they can start looking at the palliative care options. They said she will never be cancer free and radiotherapy or chemo are the likely options
How is your mum?
