"Caregiver222-what are your credentials?"

I noticed that you have responded to almost everyone's question on this site.  I was just curious as to where your information comes from...are you a doctor, nurse, researcher?  Just thought it'd be nice to know who we are all taking advice from.
Never thought much of it until I saw your completely unprofessional response to "Have I had a TIA?" on 3/19.  Made me wonder what kind of a "caregiver" would lash at so horrifically at a person seeking help for some very serious problems.

I advise anyone who reads any information on this board posted by me or anyone else to run it by his/her own physician before acting. My opinion does not represent the medical facility who maintains this board. As for "unprofessional response", I was one of the people who happened on the scene when the New Jersey Transit commuter train had a head on because the engineer lost situational awareness. It is very easy for those who have responsibilities for the lives forothers and who have responsibilities for putting food in the mouths of their families to conceal medical information. No one is pullingyour leg tofollowmy advice. The "doctrine of the reasonable and prudent man "is the best course of action." I apologize if I offended anyone, but a bit of humor and even sarcasm is at times acceptable (in my humble opinion) to get a point across.

I agree with Ronrey.  

The train driver actually said, "I am a train driver and it happened at work three weeks ago, luckily I wasn't driving at the time but I have been taken off driving indefinatly. I'm struggling to find information on anything it could be that means I will still be able to drive."  He did not say that he intended to drive without figuring out what was wrong and getting it corrected.

You should go back and read your response to him.  You seriously jumped down his throat.  I can appreciate the fact that you witnessed the aftermath of an accident, but that does not mean that you could not have been sympathetic to the man's condition and politely told him that he should not even consider driving.

By the way, you did not answer the question about your credentials.

This is not the first thime Caregiver has snapped at people. And if you read throught some of the patient to Dr. forum, the answers she gives are not the same as the REAL PHYSICIAN, so yes I am also curious to her/his
Credentials. People come here for support and answers and someone else going through the same thing. Caregiver you are not giving that!!!

I personally like reading what caregiver has to say.  He/she has given me alot of helpful ideas in helping my dad recover from his stroke.  I also miss reading his comments since he hasn't been on in a while.  The doctor hasn't responded to any of theposts in over 3 months.....

This was first time I saw Caregiver snap at anyone.  I think it was just an accident, an ill-advised moment.  Obviously, the more you say the more likely you'll put your foot in your mouth occasionally.  Way to never make a mistake is to never do anything.  I personally have gotten more useful ideas & info from Caregivers contributions than from those of any other person, including the M.D. poster.  Also, I personally am not interested in peoples credentials.  In dealing with my father's and my husband's strokes I've gotten excellent and terrible advice from M.D.'s and excellent and terrible advice from non-M.D.'s.
