Ss disability

I had a bleed on 2/12/13 was in icu for 22 days in hospital rehab till spril 2013 . Returned to work parttime june 2013 till feb 2014 i just did a warm body job my company felt sorry for me. No family wife died 9/3/2010 then brother 9/26/2013 i just cant work thru the pain and cant do the job without tons and tons of help the whole 4 hr day . I cant do it anymore ss will say you worked for 8 months all be it only part time with lots of help. Any tips on getting approved even after trying to work? I was stupid for even trying to work i think i had $15,000 saved up and $10,000 401k i shouldve lived off that $25,000 for as long as i could till i got approved but i thought i could still do the work . Hard to turn down $22 an hour for doing nothing instead of nothing for $$ $15,000 i had saved up plus the $20,000 i made for 4 hrs a day for the last 8/9 months left my 401k to live off till ss answer really worried no ins no money after that last  401k is gone from getting fired by my company. They told me i was so well liked by everyone & for sticking with them for 15 years they helped me so much but as time has went on it is time to part ways and they want/need to part ways with me. Large company doesnt have anything for me to do. Any tips peeps thanks

Figured its going to be a long lonely road ahead. I never shouldve "returned" to work. My company felt sorry for me with me losing my wife and brother along with me having a stroke all here within a short time. My employer said theyd write me a letter stating id worked for them so long and i wasnt really doing a job they were more less paying me for doing nothing.

I can tell you now that getting approved will be a pain in the a** no matter what. When you are ready to file hire a attorney that deals with social security, you normally do not have to pay for anything up front because they get a percent of what your back wages would be, and that amount is regulated by the government.
Get as much information as you can on why you need to go on it. Write your congressmen and the member(s) of the house of representatives and let them know what is going on. Believe it or not they will send you a letter back letting you know that they will be paying attention to your case.
Also be prepared to be denied the first time you file.
