Stem Cell Treatment for Stroke

Recently, we have a patient who experience stroke 7 years agao, which affected his right limbs. He was admitted to our hospital on Dec 24th 2014. Upon admission, his right hand was tight and couldn't stretch without help of the other hand. Now after 2 weeks treatment, the patient's right hand is improved, and he can open his hand and move his fingers slightly. I will keep updating his improvements and share with everyone here.

The problem is the patient has done many rehab during the past 7  years, he did gained improvements from rehab at early stage, and could walk independently. However he couldn't use his right hand and walk difficultly. He decided to receive stem cell treatment to gain further results.

I will post this patient's detial info later.

This post is interesting, however the exact protocol utilized is not discussed. This would include information on the type of stroke (clot or bleed), patient history, neurological exam, medications history, etc. Bear in mind that the brain has redundancy and with proper rehab in many cases these functions will return without stem cell treatment.

I worked extensively on the rehabilitation of a 99 year old stroke patient, who regained the ability to feed herself and walk at age 102.
