Therapy for arm

I had a stroke in October 2010. Very little therapy was done on my left arm. Now 6 months later,will I still be able to get use bak of my arm?

That depends. Your doctors know nothing, Ask if the area of your brain was in the penumbra or bleed drainage area, if so then it might have only been slightly damaged and can recover with lots of exercise therapy. If instead it was in the dead brain area then you will need to neuroplastically move the functions to another location in your brain. That is very hard to do and no-one will be able to provide directions. The likely way to start that process is passive movement and mental imagery.

I too had very little therepy, but you have to keep up with the home exersises your therepist provided. The more you move your arm the faster the recovery. asian5
