how to improve hand functions?

Hi,
I'm recovering from a stroke, and I've just started regaining function in my hand. What types of exercises and activities has anyone found useful with hand recovery?

Hello, I suffered a stroke 9 months ago.Great news that you regaining hand movement. What I found really useful was all types of weight bearing exercises. Just simply put your hands on the ground on all fours and put weight on your arm. When I was weak I used to lie on one of the large pilates balls to half support my weight, then I got rid of the ball and just spent as much time as I could putting weight on my arm. I can recommend also a very good book by Tom Balchin from Amazon with a lot of exercises. Good luck

You should really go to an occupational therapist to get specific exercises.
Good luck.
