Did the medications help? What did the doc say at your follow up?
I hope the doctor didn't just attribute symptoms to stress without doing any testing to rule out a medical cause for the one-sided face numbeness- even stress can cause serious consequences at times.
Doc. says its all related to stress. Put me on meds to see if that helps..See him next week again.
I am going to see my doctor today so hopefully he will have some answers. I will let you know.
Hi...stress can do many things to the body...so can low levels of vitamins and minerals...do see ur dr for lab work to see if u have to increase supplements and dietary intake.
Other possibilities r still a concern, but try to relax and eliminate the stress which can make this issue worse.
Once u see ur dr I am sure u will begin to feel better as u start to treat the symptoms.
Good luck

Are you having a hard time swallowing because it feels like you have a lump, because your throat is sore or because it is physically difficult for you to swallow properly? I do not believe that numbness in just one side of your face should be attributed to stress. You should go to the ER. If you had a TIA or transient ischemic attack that caused this, you will want to get on treament to try to prevent a full blown stroke. So please go and get checked out. You will want to make sure your blood pressure is under control. You will want to get your electrolytes tested since you have ben having diarrhea to see if there are low levels there. You should get a lipid panel from your PCP and if it comes back abnormally high with your LDL or triglycerides, you will need to take steps to get that under control. And you may want to visit a psychiatrist for temporary prescription of medication that can help you with the amount of stress you are feeling. Stress can cause diarrhea and trouble with sleeping. And I think it's possible it could cause a nervous twitch. But the right sided numbness in your face tells me you should be going in to get evaluated ASAP!
