right hand side of body is Numb

I am a 33 yr old female in good health.  On april 7th I got broncitis really bad and could not stop coughing and had to go to the ER.  I woke up the next day and my whole right side of my body from my cheeks to my toes is numb.  When I walk it feels like my foot is asleep and I drag it. And my arm feels the same way.  My tongue is twisted under toward the right side of my mouth.  After being admitted to the hospital for 4 days they concluded that this could have been a reaction to one of the medications I was on or that I  coughed so much that I made the nerves in the brain spasm.  It is has now been 9 days since the right side of my body has been numb and weak and the broncitis is cleared up.  All the CT scans and MRI and EEG were normal so I didnt have a stroke but I have all the symptoms.  How long can these symptons last.  I am going to see a new neurologist later this week.  Can you suggest any questions that I can ask them to assist me in getting back to normal as soon as possible.  Thanks Debbie

I'm having this progress as I type. Numbness down my right side...
I looked up this website in hopes that its not a stroke.  I had these symptoms one hour after I ate a quart of pork fried rice. I saw MSG mentioned on another forum and wondered if any of you had something with it?

I too am in 30's I was just sitting on my couch watching tv when the whole right side of my body went numb.  That was back on Feb 1st.  It is now Aug 8th and my right side is still partially numb, I am loosing the ability to walk normal or without a limp (though my coworkers think I am faking).  I feel like in my face that it is like a residual novicane shot feeling but now I am loosing the ability to use my middle and ring finger on my right hand.  I have had a Cat Scan, MRI, all normal.  THey are telling me it is MS, they ruled out a stroke, a tia, I had a severe headache on the back left side of my head the day before.  Now, I have no clue either, though the doctors are leaning more toward MS or a seizure disorder.  I have never recalled having a seizure before - I am going for an EKG and EEG but my luck more money toward a test that comes back normal too.

my sister was admitted to the hospital two days ago with the same symptoms.  she had a headache in her neck and was icing it, and suddenly she was confused, had trouble seeing out of her right eye, and lost feeling in the right side of her body.  she is 30 years old and 33 weeks pregnant.  after being admitted to the hospital, her vision returned, however she is still numb in her right side.  all the CT, MRI, EKG, and others came back normal and the neurologist has all but given up and is ready to release her.  any ideas?  how about an update from the 33 year old woman who had broncitis?  does anyone know of a good neurologist in michigan?  thank you.
