strokerelated problems

My stroke affected mostly my throat.  I was told probably had several small strokes that didn't have symptoms. I am doing fine, slowly throat doing its job, some difficulties.  But depression a problem. Sometimes, often really, crying.  The Tucson mess has set off sobbing lasting forever.  I can't mention out loud the problem without choking up and tears flowing. The stroke doing that to me?

There are several others stroke survivors that I met that suffer the same problem. I for one can't control my crying outburst too. The tucson incident is one of them. I also became very passive after my stroke and it is fustrating at times because I was powerlifter too.
Just take it one day at a time and think of it as a healing process.---asian5

I don't know much about strokes myself. My mother just had one a few days ago and we're still dealing with the outcome. But I've been reading quite a bit online, and depression is often a problem after stroke from what I'm seeing. I would talk to your doctor about it, they should be able to help you or tell you who to see to get through this.
