Things do improve, although usually quite slowly. I didn't have a headache associated with my stroke but some strokees I know had & continue to have headaches. I think it is something you should ask your neurologist about.
Do they know the cause of the stroke? Are there things you can do to help address this cause(s)? I found that helped me deal with the fear of another stroke.
