Sharing your story of growing up with a family member living with an addiction for a children's book

DECODE (www.decode.net) and Annick Press (www.annickpress.com) have partnered to create a book for kids about how addiction impacts families.

We are seeking participants between roughly 18 and 30 years of age who are willing to share their stories about growing up with a parent, guardian, or sibling who lived with an addiction.  Types of addiction may include, but are not limited to, drug addiction (both licit and illicit), alcoholism, workaholism, gambling addiction, food addiction, and gaming addiction.

These stories will be compiled in a book geared towards kids, including those who are currently living with a family member struggling with an addiction. The stories provided will be a tremendous source of support for youth, and will help provide young readers with an understanding that there are people out there who lived through what they are currently experiencing.  The book will also help kids learn strategies for coping with their current situation.
