Had laproscropic gallbladder surgery three years ago. No problems until about four weeks ago with extreme pain in right rib area under breast radiating around to the back. Have had CT scan of chest and thoracic area which shows hyperinflation of the lung, possible COPD. Also had a whole body nuclear bone scan. My question is this: can this pain be caused by the clips rubbing against the hyperinflated lungs and if so, can the clips be removed. To note, prescribed pain medication does not even touch the pain.
