Swine Flue & Atrial Fibrillation
Hi There,

I was wondering if someone can help with a bit of information.

My father has just turned 65 and was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation - just there in the summer gone by.

He has been taking warfin(spelling maybe wrong) for a little while.

I know the general rule in Ireland for getting the swine flue vaccine is for anyone over the age of 65 so on that basis he should get it.

My question is - should someone get the vaccine if they have Atrial Fibrillation? Dose having Atrial Fibrillation put you in the high risk catagory? Should he get it sooner than later?

Any help will be appreciated

No reason why he can't get it.  If he has any doubts, he should talk to his doctor or his cardiologist.
