In yer faces, doubting doctors!! ;)

Just wanted to also share a bit of good news with you all.

One of my friends, Nikki, and her husband just had their first baby! A beautiful, healthy, perfect, darling little boy! Nikki is 47 and her hubby is 51.

They had actually "given up" after being told that they were too old and it would never happen. They assumed that that kids were just not for them, that time had passed them by. Then -- SURPRISE!

A BFP, totally unexpected. No IVF, no donor eggs, nothing. They say they weren't even really trying.

So, to naysayers, and doubters and doctors, there's another bouncing baby in yer faces!!! ;)

Hang in there everyone!!

Hang in there! Your sister proves that it is totally possible! One thing I know that helps high FSH that's easy and not too expensive is wheatgrass. I've read so many posts from girls who lowered their FSH by several points just from doing that. (I do tablets not the juice myself. I'm sure I would hate the taste of the juice!) Also, if you have the time and money, acupuncture is supposed to be just as good or better at lowering FSH. I wish you the best! Don't sweat that number too much any way! My friend had 19 and then 6 months later it was like 4. Good luck!

Good news about your sister! That's very hopeful as things do run in families. My mother was over 40 when she had me, and that gives me hope every day!!
Hang in there!

Wow !! just the news that I needed to hear this afternoon.  I am 46 and the RE's keep reminding me of this fact. I've had one failed IUI and am trying to figure out what to do next.  BTW, my sister is 45 and pregnant without any medical intervention.  I've been actively trying since Sept 09, back then my FSH was 8.1 and now its 20.4.  Thinking about trying one more super medicated IUI cycle, then I dunno...

Thanks for sharing, it helps to give me hope.  Have you done blood test? Maybe HPT is just not showing up?

More good news...

We've got new neighbours! She's just turned 50, and her husband's 42.

They've got two kiddes: a little girl aged 7, and a little boy aged 4.

Do the math, ladies! ;)

Thanks for posting!

I realize that, at 45, if I conceived and gave birth I'd be the star of this group, but I've really wondered lately if the whole thing is a silly thought. However ... who knows!

Thanks again!

I did ask Nikki what she/they did especially, and she SWEARS she did absolutely nothing and just let it go. She well and truly believed that there was no chance for them. They had stopped "trying".

Yes, I really need to hear this today, too.

I'm in the midsts of a long, weird cycle. Currently, CD72 with no sign of AF, and a flurry of BFNs. Just waiting for something to happen!!
Anyone else in this boat?
