So, is soy milk okay while TTC or not?

I keep hearing/reading conflicting views on whether or not soy milk is okay while TTC...Anyone know the answer to this and why it is, or isn't okay??

Yeah, I guess it's better to be safe than sorry!! I used to drink a lot of soymilk, and when I read all the stuff about messing up your hormones, I quit drinking it. I do like tofu and edamame (I am half Japanese, afterall!), but I am going to limit it now! Thanks Ladies for your input and advice!

I think tofu and the actual beans (edamame) are natural, I'm not sure about other stuff. You'd be surprised how much stuff has soy in it! ALOT of processed foods do. I try not to eat too much also because of my thyroid, but it is very hard to avoid completely. It's in so many things now.

Yeah, I heard that too. Not good for hormones while TTC. Not sure what constitutes natural soy, so I just stay away from it all together. Apparently it's terrible for thyroid issues, too! I wonder if edamame is natural and ok to eat? Guess I shouldn't take any chances! My thyroid is screwed up enough! :(

That's what I've heard too, that's why I'm so confused.. What is considered processed soy and what is natural soy? Is milk made from soy processed? Is the soy BEAN the only form of natural soy?

This is just my opinion but any processed soy could mess with your normal hormone levels as it is like estrogen can mess with your estrogen levels. Any natural soy should be ok.
