Has anybody else had a blood test for egg reserves?

Btw, I've been meaning to say that even there are many documented cases of women with only one tube getting pregnant despite ovulating from the OPPOSITE side. So it can and does happen.

I'm definitely going to look into getting the AMH test, although my FSH levels are high. I'd be really curious to know where I'm at. I found a chart that tells you the different levels at this site:

Thanks for the info! I wonder if anyone with high FSH levels ever has a good AMH result. Anybody know the answer to that?

AMH is a relatively new blood test - it predicts egg reserves.

What is AMH? I don't think anyone's ever tested mine, but my FSH is high--20.4 this cycle. It's been as high as 59! But I conceived once in October (miscarriage) and again in January (miscarriage) so please don't believe them when they tell you that you can't conceive with high FSH!

Hi, my numbers were FSH 7.84 and Estradiol 53.9 in Aug 2009 when first tested.  They were FSH 9.7, Estradiol 33, and LH 6.4 when I got tested in Jan of this year.  Got pregnant on 2nd month of trying.  Found some other results:  TSH 1.09, FT4 1.26, and Prolactin 5.63.  I'm 42 1/2 now.  Good luck to everyone!  SSBD!

Just got my AMH back. The nurse said is was really good, best I could hope for considering my age, It was 0.45.
I am so relieved, as I turn 44 soon.

I also will be doing that test (AMH) on the 28th of this month. I hope it's better news than the last test.

I don't want to give up! To see my DHs face when I told him about the results was devasting. He wants a baby so bad. I see him looking at other families with babies and it's killing him. I feel it's just a matter of time and he will leave because he wants a baby so much. He is so feritity it's not funny.

How can I make myself ovuate on the left side? I just got reduced to 4 hours a day at work so IVF isnt a choice. I wish.

Hi ladies, I would "kill" to have an FSH level as low as any of you, mine is at 53 & I still keep hoping, I'm sure that you ladies will concieve, it's all just a terrible waiting game for you :)

Your FSH is great! (measures ovarian reserve). I think the other numbers are great, too! (not sure about prolactin) One of your tubes is blocked? That will decrease the chances somewhat, but plenty of women have conceived with one tube. At our age, though, we all have the time factor to consider, so IVF would be an excellent option. I know it's very expensive. We're considering it but I have no idea how we'd pay for it! I have a very high FSH. Last year it was 22! So not even sure if I'm a candidate for IVF. But you definitely are! With FSH that good, I bet IVF would work for you! (hopefully on the first try!) And the months that you ovulate on the side w/the open tube, you can totally conceive naturally!

My FSH is 5.8 Estradiol 66 TSH 1.21 Prolactin 16.1
I have no idea what these numbers are supposed to me.

My FSH was in range at 7.6, and my Estradiol (  a hormone that has something to do with implantation)was 83. They told me that 83 was high, but not bad for a 44- year old and that quite possible the higher Estradiol was making the FSH lower. The results weren't great, but it wasn't terrible either. At any rate,  I've gotten pregnant three times in 7 months. (These levels have nothing to do with miscarriage only pregnancy.)
