I'm a 12 year old girl and I think I have depression

My mom just beat cancer and my dad is a marine.  We just moved from San Diego to Pensacola Florida.  I have felt depressed for a long time know I have suicidal thoughts and have held a knife to my skin.  I have a form of muscular dystrophy and have been made fun of for a wail I have trouble sleeping or staying asleep and don't have much energy I need help.

Would you like to talk about it with your mom? If you don't want to stress her out, would you like to call suicide hotlines when you feel the urge of suicide or hurting yourself?   I understand that feeling of being made fun of, I have cuts all over my arm and my legs due to long term of self-harming, but trust me hurting yourself is not fun, trying to take your own life is definately not fun, you will leave your parents a huge nightmare if you decided to do so, I believe you love them do you.  All I know is reach out help for yourself, remember you are not trying to be beautiful, beautiful is trying to be you. And be proud of yourself because you were here and tried to save yourself, you are a strong girl.

Your one tough cookie, dealing with all this at the age of 12. I think you've had a lot to take on as a young child and it could be taking its toll on you. I cant sleep when I have a lot on my mind, I suffer from depression and ocd so its hard to just relax like other people. As for the bullies, I know it hurts but always remember, happy people don't try to hurt others. They obviously have a sadness of there own, insecurities and issues. Talk to you mum about how you feel and all the things that are getting you down. Then you can decide weather to take it further with your GP. you are obviously very strong, but everybody needs help sometimes. xx
