Teenage years or something more?

Hi, this is my first time on a forum, I have been feeling really down lately. I have been close to tears or crying every night lately and I have been feeling hopeless. But overall I just feel vulnerable and unsure of myself. Its like I'm having an identity crisis. I have been having a hard time being myself and I'm becoming more and more disconnected from my friends and family. I don't know if this is common for teenagers or not but it has been going on for about three months now and I'm becoming really concerned. I haven't wanted to bring it up to my parents because I don't want to worry them.. but please any advice or guidance is welcome.

no tell your parent immediately it doesent matter what some online test says if you feel hopeless consistently then tell someone, humans are supposed to be happy, not consistently sad.

This sounds like depression, take an online depression test (search depression test in google) and see what it says, if it suggests your depressed then tell your parents and go doctors.
