Would this be considered depression?

I honestly don't know if im depressed or if I'm just feeling how everyone feels but I would like to know because if there is something wrong with me maybe a doctor can help so I can stop feeling this way and life will get easier, but I've been thinking about suicide more and more lately and even though I think about the benefits of it like no longer hating myself, being stressed by school I can never imagine actually doing it because I'm a chicken and I'm afraid of dying, but my ideal scenario would be to be hit by a car and not suffer any serious injuries but get a lot of hospital time so people can leave me alone and school wont make me feel like my life is hopeless and like im drowning anymore, I'm too scared to tell my parents how I feel so could someone please help me know if these are real symptoms? I cant live like this anymore

I know EXACTLY how you feel about suicidal thoughts you'll never act upon. I have the exact same thing, and like you it makes me feel like a coward. But your symptoms are very real, I promise. I hope you manage to talk to someone as soon as you can x

Go see a doctor.  Suicidal thoughts are not healthy to allow to go unchecked.  You probably have some depression or something going on.  It will take more than pills, though.  Therapy is highly suggested in addition to medication if you choose to take medication.

I just need something to stop feeling like this because I got drunk one time with my friends and it helped so much and I felt numb and didn't feel stressed out but I know thats not a good solution but I don't know what else to do because that's the easiest solution
