15 years old floaters in eye

Hi, I'm a 15 year old male.
About 5 days ago I noticed a floater in my left eye, i only notice it in very bright light, like on the beach. I never noticed a floater before. I only have one floater right now, I think, (sometimes I think i have two). They're very transparent, but I still notice them. I'm average height for my age, and I'm also very healthy, I eat right and I'm the right weight as well. I don't understand why I have this floater, its incredibly annoying.
Ive done research, and it seems very uncommon for 15 year olds to have floaters. It also seems like (for Adults) the chances of floaters going away are not high, infact floaters dont really go away... but I'm not an Adult. I'm INCREDIBLY worried that I'll have floater problems the rest of my life, and I've become very stressed out.

I do wear contacts, and am near sighted, but ive been taking a break from my contacts lately, and just letting my eyes breath.

Is it possible that I have this floater because I'm in very hot weather right now or something? I'm just really annoyed,

WHEN WILL THE FLOATER GO AWAY. I'm also a photographer, so my eyes are my everything, I need to be able to see perfectly.
My eyes are a little red, but they're NOT in pain... They feel a little dried out, so maybe i should try some eye drops?

I don't know what to do, thanks.

Hi,
I fully agree with the previous post. There does not appear to be any medical condition associated with floaters and they do not affect vision. You see them only when you look for them. Ask your friends, many of them will have it too.

Hi! I have floaters too, and my optometrist assures me that they are harmless. They will sometimes break down over time and sometimes not. They should not impair your vision much, especially if you can only see them on white backgrounds (which is the only time I ever notice mine). I wear contacts and am near-sighted as well (-7.0!). I'm 27, and I noticed my first floaters about three years ago, but they could have been there longer without my notice. I would not worry too much about them. There is nothing that causes them -- they are just pieces of tissue that shed off from your retinas. Every time you get your yearly eye exam, you should make sure your doctor dilates your eyes to check for any underlying problems.

Basically, mine told me that everything is fine unless I see unexplained flashing splotches of light in my eyes. Best of luck to you!
