also a big thing is to make sure you eat alot of yogurts which have cultures to help prevent the yeast.
Ok girls, talk to your parents. It is nothing to be embaressed about. Go to the doctor, it can be a sign of diabetes.
Also, do not eat too much acidic fruits, tomatoes or oranges. Do not use soap, it is a killer! Just warm water.
Were cotton underwear. Do not wear Jeans. Wear nothing at night, the air helps.
I had this reoccuring for a few months + then never again.
i have a similar problem. i'm 13 and i think i have a yeast infection. i haven't taken anything because i've been too afraid to confront my mother about it. i've been searching online for the past few days about home remedies but theres nothing i could even consider doing. i'm not sexually active and i don't want to take anything where i have to... you know.. like put something in there.i also have not started my period yet. it's been going on for a while now. i didn't even realize it was a yeast infection untill my health teacher started talking about it. i had all the symptoms, itchy and irritation, yellow or creamish with an odor discharge, and plain odor. i tried washing it more often but nothing was reliveing me of this terrible thing. i've been really thinking about confronting my mother. even though it will be very awkward for me. but i'm giving one last shot at something i can do myself without her knowing. please give me any info you can. i really need some help?!
The first time I got a yeast infection I was about 15 and my dad too had to take me to the doctors I know it's embarassing but trust me your dad knows all about girls parts.
If it's getting better I would go back to the doctors and get another dose of the 3 day medication, it could just be a severe infection which may take more than a few day dosage to cure. And use the cream on the external parts of your vagina it will offer relief to the itch.
Go back to the doctors and tell him or her that it's still there and what should you do next. Unfortuantely you need medication to treat the yeast infection and avoid hot baths and heat is a good breeding ground for yeast. Sorry you have to go through this at 12 :( But please don't be embarassed yeast infections happen all the time and EVERY woman at one point or another goes through them.
