I have a closed tear duct

I have a closed tear duct and im 14 years old i had this since i was 4 years old and im scared to go to surgery and wakeing up with a screwed up eye. I have been suffering with it because im in a 4th grade level of math and reading and i wanna be in a freshmen level and i really want to have makeup on but... would it damage my tear duct? Because i have been wairing eye makeup since I was in 8th grade. Should i stop? please let me know <3
