Hi. This is regarding my sister. She sufferring from knife stabbing pain in vagina since 1 year. There is growth in labia minora. Seems like clitoris is dissolving. Her periods are irregular. She got her last periods 7 months back that because of some medicines. We took her to so many doctors but no one was able to find the problem. I am so worried what n where to take her for consultation. Now since 2 months she is saying that there is some growth in vagina at outer opening. So when she walk for few minutes she bleeds. This bleeding now occurs daily. Others symptoms are mood swings, pain in entire body, sometimes half side of entire body, severe headache. Many doctors prescribed her tablets for fungal n bacterial infection for the pain in vagina. But that didnt work. The sonography report of her uterus shows everything normal. Please help us understand the problem as no one is able to find out the reason behind the problem, treating it comes later.
If your sister has a vaginal lump that is painful and bleeds then it can be due to fungal infection, a STD if she is sexually active, infected Bartholin cyst, swollen lymph node, bacterial vaginosis etc. A swab test should be sent for culture.
Vaginal pain can also be due to UTIs, vulvovaginitis, labial adhesions and foreign body in vagina like a toilet paper etc, STD, PID or pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine or extra uterine endometriosis, kidney stones and vaginal prolapse. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Do discuss this with your sister’s doctor. Take care!
