             Hello, my son has recently discovered a small white lump on his penis. I have been told it could be a cyst and could be cosmetic. He is developing in puberty - Body Hair( Underarms, chest , and pubic hair around his groin) ( Changed voice) ( Penis and Testicle growth) . He has a fairly large vain on his penis and the spot in directly in the middle. Could this be a result of regular masturbation?    Thank You           * Please answer ASAP.

your son might be developing fordyce spots, is there more than one in the area? they are known to grow on the penis and lips and generally occur at puberty. It is due to the sebaceous glands producing an excess of the fluid that prevents the skin from drying out, causing the duct to become blocked. usually they are small in nature but sometimes they can grow bigger like a pimple. It wont affect his growth in any way and they are harmless. It might be worth getting checked out as a precaution to make sure it's nothing else. If it is, then i believe there are treatments to get rid of them.

First of all, i'd google 'fordyce spots' and see if it/they look the same as the one on your sons penis. All the best :)
