So I'm on birth control

So I'm on birth control and last week I got my period when I wasn't supposed to and it ran it's corse until it stopped seven days later. But then now I'm supposed to be on the placebos and get my period. But I havnt gotten it yet. Could that be because I drained dry a few days ago or am I pregnant? Or is it because of my diet and weight? Please help :,( I'm scared of why it hasn't come.

I got my period. I have no idea why it was late and it drives me crazy. I've been on the pill over a year. I have a dr. Appt on the 16th and will probably keep my pill I'm on. I wanted to change but I don't want to gain weight from it like I did the first time around.

There are a few reasons why this could happen, one being weight gain or loss and also could be just your body's reaction to the extra hormones, especially if you have just begun to take the pill. If you have been taking your pill correctly, the same time every single day, then this pill might not be working well for you, since you should not have break through bleeding that is heavy like a period. I'd make a doctor's appointment and talk about switching to another birth control pill or another form of birth control. Since you already bled/shed the lining of your uterus, there is no need to have a 'period' again. If you think you might be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test 2 weeks after having sex. Otherwise, I would just see your doctor and talk about another option that might work better for you. Hope it all goes well.
