You could be mistaking for an acne disaster. Acne is when you get pimples on your body from applying oils that exist on your hands, arms, or anything you touch your face with. Before you go to bed every night, try wiping your face gently with a hot wet towel, no matter how much it burns. This will one help you get over the pain of wiping it with something hot, and two, can reduce it. Next, if you see very small white dots on the tips of the bumps, it's most likely acne, so apply acne medicine on your face, rubbing it in lightly before you go to bed. You can find something like this at most local stores with medicine.

Before going to bed, apply some face moisturiser this will allow moisture into the rash to become less rough. You could try any healing cream like Savlon or even better, sudocrem. Hope this helps as a rash on the face isn't at all nice :)
