thanks, actually im kind of like spotting  or having a light period, but normally my periods can be heavy, but i have been swimming alot and doing a lot of sports.... so could this have made my period this light, and is this my actual period right now or will itgo in to a heavy period and take longer time? this has been going on for 3 days.

Hi!
If you have irregular periods and want to avoid periods during your vacation, I suggest you first consult your gynecologist and then start medications to either delay the periods or have the periods before July 14th.
There are hormone tablets called norethisterone available both OTC and prescription which you can take. The dose is 5 mg three times a day starting 3-4 days before a period is due (that is if you are close to your periods). Otherwise you can start at one tablet daily before one week of your due date. In either case it can be continued for up to two weeks or so until you want to have a period. Your period will then normally begin 2-3 days after stopping any pill. So you can start one pill now and continue until you want your period again or you can take 5 mg thrice a day for 3 days and stop. Either way you can avid periods during the vacation time.
However, since you have irregular periods, this plan may backfire. So please consult a gynecologist. Take care!
