weird period

Hi, I'm 17, and i'm on the birth control pill.. my boyfriend and i also use a condom every single time we have sex, and he also pulls out. I have been told that i am a hypochondriak, and i worry way too much, i think about the worst possible thing that could happen. .. but anyways.. even if i get my period, i still think that maybe i'm pregnant. This month, no condom broke, and i took my pill properly, but my period was very very light, barely any blood, mostly just brown i stoped my pill when i started getting brown, than realised i had another pill.. so i took it a day later, could this change my period?......... any suggestions on why i have this?

hey im sure whats happened with your period is just an effect of the birth control ive been on the implanon implant for a couple months now mine went really really light then i bled for 4 weeks until i saw a doctor if you are worried doctors are a big help but im sure its just  the pill, if you're ever worried about if the condom broke or what ever i suggest buy a pregnancy test or take the emergency contraceptive pill just so you dont have to worry so much. i understand why you worry and its fair enough but do all you can and hopefully you'll be less worried and happier for it
good luck!

I did take birthcontrol pills for a year in my 20s.
And I remembered that where I was taking it my period was very light. Sometimes it was spotty brown discharged.
As you probably know, pills are not 100% protection. Although your chance of getting pregnant is very small while you are taking it on schedule, it is not good for your health. I hope you and your boyfriend look into more research on birthcontroll pills and decide what to do.  I also recommend you to get tested because just worrying about it could cause your irregular periods.
