15 wks and only gained 11 pounds

I am 20 yrs old been married 2 1/2 yrs. I have a 2 yr old son and am 15 wks prego with 2nd baby and its a girl. I went to the doctor today and found out that i have only gained 11 pounds just wondering if this could hurt my baby girl. As with my 1st baby i couldnt stop gaining weight. Help me please.

thats not bad considering I gained 60 pounds with my first baby.

I didn't start gaining until about 20+ weeks and my daughter was healthy. I wouldn't be too concerned it sounds normal to me.

i dont think thats bad for being 15wks i think thats normal actully most girls ive noticed on here have gained not so much. i was actully worried about my weight gain im 24wks and already have gained 23lbs when i found out how much i gained i was like woah is there something wrong with me beacuse i know that most girls only gain 25-35lbs the entire 9months and im only 24wks and already gained so much.lol i asked my doctor and he said it was fine.

I'm 26w5d and I've only gained about 18 lbs so far.
The doctor doesn't seem worried about it whether it being too much or too little.
He said I'm doing good so far.

Like mj_mommy_manda said, most of the weight is gained in the last trimester... which for me, is only a week away... oh joy... I get to get fatter.

That really sounds normal. I really would not worry too much about it espically if your OBGYN has not mentioned anything about it. Congratz on your pregnancy.

That doesnt seem unordinary.. or like you havent gained enough.. you gain most of your weight in the third trimester and normally you are only supposed to gain between 25 and 35 pounds.. I am 22 weeks and have gained 14 pounds and that is perfect according to my doctor.
