well said kim. I think you have taken that AndiJ and Peek role on this forum. You have great information, but the newbees dont like it. Every question she answered is posted almost every single day on this forum, maternal and child and pregnancy 20-34! They are questions taht I consider rediculous and people should know these answers, but dont seem to. This should be kept at the top of the forum!
It's about time someone put something like this up!!
I'm tired of seeing girls 13... 14... 15... 16... "I'm trying to get pregnant... can anyone tell me what I can do to help?" or "I think I'm pregnant... I've got ____ symptom, ____ symptom... etc... Do you think I'm pregnant? What should I do??"
Obviously all they want is an attention because they've probably read a million and one posts about the same **** on other posts, and read what the replies were... and they want to hear the same...
Yet god forbid one of us 18 or 19 year olds that accidentally fell pregnant... tell them they should reconcider and get on bc or use condoms... they all say, "You ain't much older than me! blah blah blah" and then they get all p*ssed off when the older women tell them the same.
And they get p*ssed off and defensive if we tell them that the "symptoms" they're having could mean a] their period is fixin to come. b] they're just over reacting.
Or if we just come out and say plain as day that we don't think they're pregnant because of such n such reasons.
And even still, I think they just want to hear/see the words, "I think you might be pregnant." from other people because it's exciting to them I guess. And they want to feed their own fire if I were to put it into terms.
Honestly.... you know what I think they should do.
Like, they should make is a nation wide LAW that teens under the age of 18 should be REQUIRED to take birth control.
And ontop of that, make middle schoolers, and high schoolers have a class specifically dedicated to pregnancy and raising an infant/child.
Like have it a requirement for half the year like they did with me for health education and gym.
Because obviously high schoolers, atleast the ones that were in my class... thought sex ed was a big joke, and all they did was laugh when the saw the drawing of the penis on the over head.
I mean, it's NOT ENOUGH people.
These kids need to LEARN and SEE FOR THEMSELVES what it's like to be a teenaged mother/father...
They need to LEARN and SEE FOR THEMSELVES what they're gunna have to do, go through, and DEAL WITH for the next 18 years of their lives.
I can't tell you how much I've been through these past 8 months of my pregnancy, it's been very TOUGH on both me and my fiance.
And I know the outcome will be great... but then again, with the both of us only being 18... we're still too young, and it's gunna be HARD.
The only thing that reassures me is the fact that my fiance's got a job in the oilfield, and we're staying with his parents who have the money to take care of both me him and the baby if needed, not having to worry about bills or anything for the next 4 or so years because I'm gunna be going to college next fall.
And by the time we finally are out on our own, our kid will already be a toddler, and Josh n I will BOTH have a well paying, STEADY job to support our family...
But the thing is... MOST of these teens don't HAVE the opportunity that Josh n I have.
MOST of them are gunna end up on some sort of welfare plan... and I'm not saying that's WRONG, because you gatta do what you gatta do... But my point is, is that our over populating the world, and poverty because of all these teen parents never got the chance to go to school and make something of themselves... could have been PREVENTED.
And I think they need to take a look at the United States FIRST... and DO SOMETHING about this.
Sorry this was so long and rantful... I feel better saying the things I said though. =]
Props on the post. I think it was VERY necessary, and if anyone thinks otherwise, then they're obviously ignorant.
I was on the pill for 7 years and I would forget once in awhile but I was careful during those times, I would use a condom. I don't know why you would ask the question if you already know the answer. I missed my pill could I get pregnant...that's obviously yes.
i dont kno there have been a few lately with forgetting bc it always seems that girls who are worried if the pregnancy always forget their pills on the day they have unprotected sex.
i think i responded to that post. was it, i did not take my pill for 2 weeks cause i forgot but i had unprotected sex everyday? i do not understand forgetting BC but remembering to have sex. having sex would remind me, OH ****, i need to take my BC.
i took BC for 8 years without toruble, yes i had to double up a couple of times but that was once i had been on it like 6 years and i was ready for a baby if something happened.
I'm glad it was removed. I think this was a very educational post. Keep up the good work.
yes well one of posts (there were two) the girl kept messing up her bc stopped taking is was having unprotected sex, letting her bf ejaculate inside of her, decied to go back on bc and then they got mad when i said you should be using bc and a condom. since you cant remember your bc, try a different bc. i tried to explaine that bcs not 100% when you allow a man to ejaculate inside of you that lowers the effectiveness and better yet if you mess up your bc all the time that lowers it even more!
and then they acted like they knew everything and i was wrong but then why are they comming looking for help?
its whatever i reported it before and i guess ill have to keep doing it
well that is not very mature. i am sorry that happened to you. the reality is BC is not 100% effective and you should not be lettign your bf *** inside you if you do not want to risk getting pregnant and then wondering later, "why did i get pregnant, i used BC."
if they keep responding nasty to your posts then report them, obviously they are not mature enough to be on a website like this where you need to have self control and sensorship.
she and "another" girl got mad at me when they asked a question about being on bc and letting their men *** all inside of them and then one wondered why she was getting a brownish discharge. and then they jumped on me for telling them they should use condoms as well because bc is not 100% and then they called me names and etc. it got removed
i obviously missed something? why are you being lashed at for this Kim? (D*mn girl someone is always yelping at you but those that yelp are those that do not seem to be helping either.)
i think it is a great post and answers lots of questions that we repeatdly answer every week. not saying that i do not mind answering the same question but at least people can read it and have some answers fast rather than waiting for us to post back,
thank you mam and mami
im hopeing young girls will read this and it will help them with their concerns
Girl, i think your the one that needs therapy. She's doing something for others, what are you doing to prevent teens getting pregnant? It takes people like her to educate others. She took the time to put this together to help others. Back off!! Do something good for others!
Back off, she's trying to educate some teens out there. If you don't like what she has to say then don't read her comments or posts.
um yeah did but that one part and thats got the link!
Yeah!... Nice copy paste!
