Abdominal/Pelvic and Lower Back pain after Plan B?

Alright, So I and my boyfriend had sex on Tuesday and the condom broke but he said that he came inside. I dunno. I got scared and jumped into the bathroom and tried to wash out any semen if possible but it was mostly on the outside! Anywho, I started getting sort of mild abdomen pain on Wednesday afternoon. Then on Thursday morning I took the Plan B-One Step pill. But The pain seemed to get a little worse. I read about ectopic pregnancy but my bf told me he highly doubts it being possible. So for the last couple of days I've been experiening horrible pain but only yesterday when I went to touch. . . I pulled my finger back and found blood on it? When I woke up this morning my panties were covered in blood. Does this mean I'm on my period? And what could be the causes of the pain going on with me, Could the pill be likely to have caused me all of this despite the side effects shouldn't last more than a couple of days after I took it?

I don't think your abdominal pain would be caused a day later from conception, if that happened to occur. I can find a number of reasons in your post of why you developed abdominal pain a day later.

- You tried to wash out any semen. Did you douche, or just wash around the outside? If you did something like a douche, you could have introduced bacteria into your vagina and the pain was caused from the irritation, and a possible infection could have been introduced.

- You took Plan B a two days later, which is a hormonal birth control treatment. The pill could have messed with your cycle days, and given you more intense menstural-like cramps.

- Your period could be due, and you have been having normal menstrual cramping...hence, the blood you found yesterday.

- If you do happen to be pregnant, it most likely would have occured earlier than the sexual encounter you explained above, because it's very unlikely you'd feel abdominal pain/cramping less than 24 hours after conception.

- If you do happen to be pregnant, and you are experiencing abdominal pain, cramping, and bleeding, it could be an ectopic pregnancy, a miscarriage, or something else that may or may not be harmful to you and/or the developing embryo. The only way to find out is to see a doctor.

I'd recommend you take a home pregnancy test if you are due for your period or late to start it. Also, make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can if this is not normal for you and you are not due for your period or you think you might be pregnant.
