Anyone know about Implantatio Bleeding? Thankyou!

I had had unprotected sex on my ovulation date, and i realized that only a day too late. Three days later i am having bleeding, much different than my period. this started out light, and drak brown, now the next day its a little heavier and bright red. However, my period should not have come for another 13 days. In anyones opinion could this be an implantation bleeding? I dont have to use more than one tampon a day, i dont have huge cramps like i would normally on my period.

Implantation bleeding isn't a flow, and doesn't require any use of anything. IF a female has it, she doesn't have it 3 days after sex and it's a spot of blood--if that. In my opinion, it doesn't sound anything like implantation bleeding. In and of itself implantation bleeding is uncommon, and few women ever really get it. You have to consider fact. The egg is smaller than a period at the end of these sentences--it's not going to cause heavy bleeding. As said above, there are dozens of reasons to have vaginal bleeding. I'd be more inclined to say irritation to the cervix.

A lot of things can cause bleeding beyond just implantation bleeding. Infections, irritation, cysts, hormonal changes, etc can all cause you to bleed after sex, so this doesn't automatically mean you could be pregnant. The only way you will know if you are pregnant or not is to wait 2 weeks or until after a missed period to take a home pregnancy test. Make sure to take the test correctly and then go from there. If the test is negative, then use this as your learning lesson to be much more careful next time and always use protection from start to finish.
