Are we safe or not ?

Hi, me and my girlfriend got intimate few days ago. No we didn't have any sex (intercourse). I just touched her vagina with my penis tip for a few seconds and as far as i remember i was dry. As we know pre-*** may contain some amount of sperm if we had ejaculated recently and hadn't urinated since but i had urinated alot of times before that moment and i had ejaculated about 24 hours ago if i remember. She immediately washed her vagina but still we both were nervous so she bought an emergency contraceptive pill (ormeloxifen hydrochloride) because thats what was available in our place, and she took it within 2-3 hours. So is there any problem and do we need to get worried ? Please help! If we are not safe, then please tell me what to do, we don't want pregnancy now.

Sperm is microscopic so you can't see it with the naked eye. I think you and your girlfriend have nothing to worry about. Do get yourself some condoms and keep them with you, just in case.
From what I know about the emergency pills they can fail 1 out of 8 times. Like I said though, the faster you take them the more effective they are. They are probably giving the statistics of many women that have taken them right away up to 72 hours. Your girlfriend did take them within 2 hours so that's a really good thing. Tell her not to stress because that really can delay her period.

You're very welcome. I'm sorry about your girlfriend and the fact that she's not able to eat properly.

Even i thought so, she lives in hostel so her diet is also not proper, that could be the reason too. Thank you very much for your reply and concern.

It's not uncommon to have different periods sometimes. They can be heavier or lighter. Stress can effect them too so if your girlfriend has been stressed thinking she may be pregnant that could be the reason for a lighter period. No worries, she is not pregnant.

That's great because this means it is indeed her normal period and she is not pregnant.

Thank you for the reply. She had her period yesterday. But i am still worried because i read in google that you might get your periods even being pregnant. So is there any way to know if its normal period or not ?

as most studies say tha pre semen would contain some amount of sperm if you have ejaculated recently and had not urinated since. but i had ejaculated may be more than a day ago and i had urinated like 10 times after that.

Thank you for your comment. Actually we didn't plan for intercourse so i had no condoms with me. I didn't even rub my penis on her vagina, i just touched the tip for may be 3-4 seconds and i remember my penis tip was dry, i didn't have any pre semen at that time but still since we were worried i gave her the pill. Are you sure this particular pill (ormeloxifen hydrochloride) is effective ? it said its non steroidical and devoid of any side effects like other emergency pills.

You should be safe. Your girlfriend took the pills very fast and the sooner you take them the better.
Rubbing your penis on her vagina could get her pregnant. The chances are so much smaller because you did not ejaculate. Pre semen can contain sperm.
Can I ask why you did'nt use a condom or why you would touch her vagina with your penis if you know there's even the smallest chance of pregnancy? The emergency pills can be costly and they can have side effects, like early periods, late periods, nausea, And from what I've read they are not 100 percent effective.
Please either buy condoms and always carry one with you. If you can not afford to buy them you can get them at the clinic for free.
Sorry for the long post. I know you came here asking one question, are we safe? It would be good if you did not take any more chances though and end up with an unplanned pregnancy.
I think you're safe. Tell your girlfriend not to stress because that can delay her period.
