Baby kicks or gas?

So I'm sitting here at my desk at work.. and I had my hand on my belly.  I felt like 5 little bumps in a row and It didnt seem like gas.  But it was above my belly button.. Im 20 weeks.. and I think that my uterus should be just exactly to my belly button and shouldn't the baby still be sitting pretty low? Idk what Im feeling or where the baby is.  Could these little bumps be the baby kicking? or is it just my stomach doing strange things? im confused lol

You feel it more later on in the night because that's when you are relaxed.  The baby is basically rocked to sleep during the day by your movement but when you are laying down and not moving around, that's when they tend to be awake.  I think I was about 20 weeks when I saw my son kick on the outside.  I remember yelling for my mom and she saw it also....I broke down in tears...it was amazing.  Then when I tried to show my fiance, my son didn't want to kick.  Just wait until you are a few weeks more, you will start to feel and see more.  It's wonderful...I miss it so much sometimes.

I think that I have felt some little bumps lower a couple days after i thought i felt the kicks high... and realized that when i felt the "kicks" high it wasnt really kicks.. cuz your right.. they do feel different.  I get so nervous sometimes because i dont feel the baby kick that much.. and I thought i would be feeling it alot by now!  but I started feeling it at around 16 1/2 weeks and then it went away for like 2 weeks and then i started feeling it again around 19 and now at 20 I have felt it on the outside probably twice.. but i barely ever feel kicking.. I seem to feel it the most around 9-10 at night.. and then pretty much nothing.. hopefully it will pick up soon because im sick of being nervous about it all the time.

Well at 20 weeks the top of the uterus is exactly allined with the bottom of your belly button.
So if it was ABOVE your belly button, I highly doubt it was your little one.
I'm 24w2d and I RARELY get a kick above the belly button.

But since your insides are compressed because of your growing uterus, it could have been strong gas because when I feel my girl kick me on the outside, I feel it on the inside too.

Trust me, when you feel that baby kick on the outside, you'll KNOW it's him/her.
Cuz inorder for you to feel it, he/she has to kick HARD because our lil ones are still not as big as the average baby.
So it's a HARD pound.

I've been feeling these kicks since about maybe 21weeks if I can remember.
Or maybe my 22nd week I was able to feel them on the outside...
And here it is 2 weeks later and those strong ones still make me gasp! lol

good luck to you n yours.

Hi!  You are most certainly feeling your little one kick!

Oh...and for some reason...my hubby NEVER felt our DD kick...he saw my belly do the wave and wiggle when I got much bigger...but she would be kicking up a storm and the minute he put his hand on my belly...she stopped!  :)  Funny...cuz she sure does love her daddy now!  LOL!  Good luck...and enjoy it...I miss those little kicks...

if you were sitting is was probably the baby. I know what you mean when I felt my DD kick on the outside for the first time I was amazed, it is such a wonderful feeling. From that point on I would make everyone feel her kick:)

yeah I have been feeling the baby move alot since like 16 1/2 weeks.. its not really constant and somedays i feel it more than others.. mostly just when im sitting or kind of leaning back in a chair or propped up on pillows.  I know i have been feeling the baby on the inside for the past like 2 1/2 weeks.. but I have never felt it on the outside and I actually felt it with my hand.. but it was right above my belly button so IDK if it was gas bubbles.. or digestion.. or the baby.. lol but its pretty cool to think its the baby.. i just dont know where the baby should be kicking.. or if it can even kick all the way up there yet! lol

If you are 20 weeks you are probably feeling the baby move. If you lay on your back can you feel it kick? I felt my baby kick at 16 weeks and I am not a skinny girl
