Birth Control causing Anxiety?

Hi! I am 18 years old and just got on a birth control pill 3 months ago. In these past three months , i have noticed severe anxiety about everything. My boyfriend of 2 years and I are sexually active , and prior to this new birth control , I felt completey safe and I knew i wasnt pregnant. Now on this pill , after sex I become so anxious that i could be pregnant that it drives me insane. He wears a condom , and i never miss a pill so i know its practically impossible , but my anxiety is so high I still convince myself I'm pregnant. I'm switching off this brand of birth control very very soon cause i cannot take this. But for the sake of my sanity , can someone explain the chances of being pregnant with a condom and birth control ? is it possible ? and is anxiety from Birth Control a normal side effect ?

Birth control pills work on our hormones so anxiety could be a side effect and if you feel it is, you should change it. Birth control pills can work on one's mood, cause nausea, appetite changes, abdominal bloating etc. etc.

Chances of a pregnancy are almost NONE since you are on birth control as well use an additional contraceptive method. Take care.
