Can you help me?

Hi all, I just started taking birth control for the first time. I need help.
I got my period on the 12th( at like 10pm)  and i started taking the pill on the 17th at 7pm sharp. I know they say I was supposed to take it on the 5th day or the 6th day, and i took it on the 17th, so is it ok?  or am i too late to have sex without  a condom? and have to wait for a month to make it work effectively?  I'm going to see my boyfriend in early march.(maybe the 2nd or so) And I was just wondering if it would be a problem if id have sex without a condom. IS there any risks?  Can someone PLEASE help me? Because i really dont want to get pregnant and i'm just scared. Thank YOU so much. :)
Any help is appreciated.

never have unprotected sex. even if you're on the pill. they're NOT 100% effective and b/c DOES fail. (my brother is a b/c baby) it would be a big risk. b/c does not take effect in your body for 2-6 months.

Yea i thought about it and i don't really feel comfortable having unprotected sex, since i just started using birth control pills, it's just my bf and i want to have sex without a condom for once.  BUt i guess i'd be risking it.  But is it true that it takes about a week if u start using pills after 6th day of your period?  IF it is true, then i should be ok to have unprotected sex with my bf ... cuz it would be my 2nd week of takin the birth control pills. no?

what pill are you actually on?

to be honest the pills only 97% effective on its own so your taking a risk by not using a condom.. using both together is 99% effective, so i say use condoms aswell as the pill no matter what. but if your really scared about it you shouldnt be havong sex at all as nothings 100%
