MY VEGETARIAN PREGNANCY?

I'm sixteen & pregnant

i know that raises a lot of health concerns for my baby

but i'm also a vegetarian!

is it healthy to be a vegetarian when pregnant. i've been one for about 6 years
and do not want to change it but if it concerns the health of my kid then so be it.


help??


also, i'll be starting on prenatals tomorrow

Humans are natural born meat-eaters and weren't meant to live healthily on vegitables alone.
We need the protien and other nutrients that come from meat, and so does our growing babies.
Prenatal vitamins alone will not cut it. You need to eat meat.
Even if it's just starting out with something like Chicken or something.

you'll need to make sure you get some form of protein! protein is very important in pregnancy. you'll need to talk to your ob about that and see what s/he says.
