My Period Hasn't Came for 6 Months.

Please Help Me!
I'm 17 years old and my period hasn't came since August of 2010
My doctor did a pregnancy test & it came out Negative.
She won't tell me any information over this & i'm really worried.
Does anyone in here know if this can affect me in the future when I want to have kids?
& How come my period hasn't came?
I know i'm irregular but it's been extremely long.

Go to an ob-gyn or endocrinologist, if you can. They are more familiar with testing female hormones and can figure out where in the cycle you are getting stuck. You may only need a series of a few pills to get you on track. This happened to me as a teen and I never went to the doctor cause I wasn't having sex. I have PCOS and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Get the problem straightened out now so you can have a bright future and not be worried!! Also, use the trackers on here to do a daily assessment for a couple months.

At the very least get a second opinion. Do not just listen to what one doctor has to say about your health. Also, the birth control pill is very safe and most people who take it have little to no side effects. You can discuss that with your doctor.

I would get a second opinion and discuss going on the pill. That can help to regulate your hormones and get you back on track.

She has to tell u if she knows something is wrong. U should consider getting a second opinion. Go to another DR. I hope u get the help u need.
