Arguably most 16 year olds are not ready to be -parents- but there is a big difference between being a parent and being an adult.  I never said that 16 year olds are emotionally ready to be parents, only that they are not children.  At any rate readiness to be a parent has very little connection with age in my experience.

well....if you practiced safe sex nobody would be lecturing you.  as my mom told me when i was a teen "no glove no love".

why are you having unprotected sex? as i have said to all my younger brothers and my cousin...it's SO much cheaper to buy that box of condoms or get b/c then it is to raise a baby.

i agree with pinkydinkydoo it sounds like implantation bleding and id wiat to see if your period comes and as far as cloudy urine its more likely maybe a uti that con cause your urine to be cloudy but for that just drink some cranberry juice and see if it clears up cuz you con have a uti with out knowing it but its not related to pregnancy and im pretty sure of that but take a ept test and see what happens but just be safe next time

hmm...kinda does sound like implantation bleeding..you should be good with taking an ept test now(my pregnancy showed up after 3 weeks) so if it says yes i would go ahead on to an obgyn and get it all checked out :)

best of luck to you!!

Of course it's hard to be a mother at a young age.  I was once a pregnant teen myself.  I did have to give up alot of things, but matured very quickly when I knew that there was a small human being that had been placed in my care.  And I married the father.  It was a marriage that lasted 35 years.  I guess I was one of the lucky ones.  It's the girls today having babies with my paternal support, that makes this such a tragedy.

I certainly do not recommend that any young women get pregnant so early, but accidents do happen.  It's the young woman that takes responsbility for that life, that should be congratulated for taking the mature route and giving that child the best life possible.

A century and more ago, young girls were having babies at 13 or even younger.  It was considered no big thing, if she wed at such an age and became pregnant.  In fact it was common to hear of young teenage brides.  Times have really changed.  I wonder why we frown upon it now....probably because it's unwed mothers with no fathers standing behind them to support them.

Both Kim and alaysha make very valid points though.  With all the pregnancy preventatives out there, "accidents" shouldn't happen at the high rates they still do.

No Kage_no_Taren. Both me and Kim and some other girls on here were "teen" mothers or teens while we were pregnant. You have just recently gotten pregnant and so you have NO idea what it is like to be a mother so young and all the things you have to give up. But you will soon enough and then you too will be preached safe sex to people. At 16 no one is emotionally ready to be an adult and because of one mistake they shouldn't be forced to be.

I hate having to point this out, but 16 year olds are not children if they are not forced to be.  All developmentally normal people have the capacity to be fully functional adults by the time they are 16, if they are encouraged to develop, rather than intentionally held back due to the fear of the older people around them.
