Pain!!
I am 27w1d pregnant.I have been having this sharp pain in my lower stomach area when I walk sometimes.My appointment is on Monday and can't get in any sooner.What can be causing this and should I be worried??

Hi!
Ok you can do a simple test and see. Walk around or change position and see if the contractions stop or slow down. If they do it is a false alarm. Also such false contractions are felt only in lower abdomen and pelvis and not in the back. Their force and frequency does not increase with time. Such contractions are also called Braxton Hick’s contractions. If the pains do not fit the above criteria, please consult an obstetrician immediately or go to the ER. Hope this helps. Take care!
