Sixteen , and pregnant with a serious ultra sound ?
Hey everyone i am 16 and recently I found out that I am pregnant . I went to the doctor one day and the did a serum blood test and they estimated me two weeks pregnant because of my HCG level at 200 , anyways My Gyno told did a vaginal ultra sound on me first , and she told me i looked maybe five weeks pregnant, the next time I went a week and a half later and she estimated me at 7 or eight, but all she found was a yolk sac and she looked on a scale that read 5 1/2 weeks pregnant, since she thinks I am 7 weeks she is only giving me 2 more weeks to grow a heart beat, and if I dont get one she is making me get a dmc,, I think that I am to early to detect a heartbeat,, please help me decide what I should do
that's a completely natural feeling. i was terrified when i found out i was pregnant. i had no idea if i'd be a good mom, if i'd be able to handle being a mom. even though i was 23 i still thought i was crazy for having kids so early. but you know what...when i saw my precious boys for the first time those fears melted away. all i wanted to do was hold them and love them. and it's amazing watching them grow. i still get scared. i still wonder if i'm doing a good job, if they're where they're supposed to be developmentally, i fear for their future. i get scared thinking about this or that. every mother gets scared whether she's a 16 yr old mother or a 46 yr old mother. my mom was 26 when she had me and she said being a mom was the scariest, happiest time of her life. even when she had my brother when she was 30 she was still scared and she had been a mom for almost 4 years by then. my grandma...had 9 kids starting at age 20 she told me that with each and every pregnancy she was still scared.
well, then stop. lol. it's amazing what a woman can do once she is pregnant and realizes that she is responsible for another life.
there is a counselor there for me to talk to. but i dont think that i would be a good mother because of all the things that i be doing.

i am in the grouphome for the next year and a half. i don't think my father or mother would what to help take care the baby but i will try. the baby's daddy doesn't want it. he wants me to get rid of it. but his family wants me to have the baby
how long are you in the group home? they will eventually know. do you have family you can ask to keep the baby until you're on your feet? what about the father? does he want to be involved? his family? worse comes to worse if the baby is placed into foster care you can always get him/her back once you are up and going.
i'm araid to really talk to any one at my grouphome because they will go and tell my social worker and then when the baby is born the baby will be put into foster care i will not have that.

Ultrasounds can be a week or so off either it being too early, or being later than what you really are.
When was your last period?
If your HCG levels are that low, you probably are just REALLY early into your pregnancy.
I'd wait another month or so before jumping the gun!

are there counselors there you can speak to? they maybe able to help you out. make sure you get prenatal care. the sooner you see an ob/gyn the better. since you are a teenager you'll automatically be considered high risk and your ob should pay closer attention to your pregnancy. especially since you already had a miscarriage. do not be afraid to ask questions. if you don't know something and you want to know ask them! don't be afraid to ask what they're doing and why during your appointments. during u/s's ask questions. that's the only way you'll know what's going on.
well im back here again for advice. Well i had sex with this guy and now i really am pregnant. i am so scared and i have been pregnant before and i had a miscarriage. i dont know if my body can handle this. im in high school and i know longer live with my father i now live in a group home.

she can't make you get a d&c. if you want to wait until you are further along you can do that. if worse comes to worse CHANGE DOCTORS!!! do NOT let your doctor talk you into doing anything! or force you to do anything!!!! stick to your gut!
